If your a Microsoft live user and also an apple mac user, you might want to connect mail app,(the apple email client of OS X) to your Microsoft live email account. All you need to know is what settings to use to connect your Microsoft live email account, here they are...
Open the Apple Mac OS X mail app and enter you name. The setting “user name” you enter into mail app will always be your Microsoft live address ending in @live.com
These are the other settings you will need to for connecting Microsoft live to Mac Mail app in OS X:
First mail app setup screen:
Account Type : POP
Description : Windows Live
Incoming Mail Server : pop3.live.com
Username : <live email address eg;
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Password : password for your live
Second Mail app setup screen:
Description : Windows Live
Outgoing Mail Server : smtp.live.com
Click the box: “Use Authentication”
Username : <live email address eg;
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Password : password for your live
Click done and then log onto your live account in the OS X mail app. Enjoy!
